Article 9.12
Legal Committee

The responsibilities of the Legal Committee are:

9.12.1 To guide the Federation and to assure it remains within the laws of its host country in all matters.

9.12.2 To review, negotiate and, with the Executive Committee, approve all contracts in which the WAFF may engage. 9.12.3 To give counsel, adopt a position and give advice on all cases, disputes or inquiries submitted to the Committee. 9.12.4 To follow the development of the Statutes and Regulations which govern WAFF and propose to the Executive Committee any amendment which the Committee deems useful.

9.12.5 To advise the Executive Committee and officials of the interpretation of the WAFF Statutes, Regulations and other WAFF documents.

9.12.6 To follow the development of the Statutes, Regulations and amendments thereto which govern WAFF, and to assure they conform to FIFA guidelines and to the host nation in which the WAFF is headquartered.

9.12.7 To monitor WAFF elections and to certify their results.

9.12.8 To examine and rule on issues regarding player or coach status and/or eligibility.

9.12.9 To assist in the development of regulations governing the status and transfer of players.

9.12.10. To review the statutes and regulations of affiliated associations, and, if necessary, to recommend that the Executive Committee revisions which may be advisable.

9.12.11. To deal with every aspect of fair play in its widest sense. The committee may, on its own initiative, recommend disciplinary action against any player, coach, trainer, delegation member, or association member for actions detrimental to the sport on or off the field.

9.12.12.  To propose different kinds of campaigns designed to assure fair play, to ensure that they are realized and to follow up the results.

9.12.13,  To deal with all matters of protocol during WAFF competitions and conventions or other events in which WAFF is involved.

9.12.4 To propose to the Executive Committee any amendments which may become appropriate.
