Article 9.10
Referees' Committee

9.10.1 The Referees' Committee shall be comprised of one referees from each of the member nations, and one player representative named by active players.

The responsibilities of the Referees' Committee are:

9.10.2 To make decisions and interpretations regarding the application of the WAFF Laws of the Game.

9.10.3. To establish uniformity in methods of refereeing and implementation of the Laws of the Game.

9.10.4. To compile a list of referees qualified to supervise international matches from among the nominations submitted by the national associations.

9.10.5. To appoint the referees for matches in competitions organized by WAFF or for any other matches or tournaments, whenever requested to do so.

9.10.6. To ensure that each national association has a properly constituted referees’ committee and ascertain that these committees function satisfactorily.

9.10.7. To establish uniform criteria for the evaluation of referees for use by every national association.

9.10.8. To draw up a list of instructors and lecturers capable of conducting courses for referees.

9.10.9. To organize and direct educational courses for international referees and referee instructors.

9.10.10. To approve the official translations of the Laws of the Game.

9.10.11. To approve the editing on the wording of the Laws of the Game in official WAFF publications.

9.10.12. In co-operation with the Technical Committee and Medical Committee, to propose amendments to the Laws of the Game as may become appropriate.

9.10.13. To prepare and produce useful training materials on refereeing our sport.
